I want to be a tutor because I have a strong passion for teaching, nurturing, and helping children. As a father to five children under the age of 12, their growth and development always have been first in my eyes. Growing up as a young man, I struggled in my studies and I often felt alone and misunderstood. As a young boy, I strongly believe the outcome of my work would have been drastically different if I would have had a teacher who showed more interest, concern, and attention to my educational and developmental needs. It is my desire to be that teacher that I needed so many years ago. Not only do I want to reach students in the classroom, I want to spark a fire and plant a seed that will continue to be watered and nurtured at each level the student continues to progress to. I want to instill in students that hard work, drive, and determination that can take them anywhere they desire. Lastly, I want to play a vital role in their lives becoming outstanding citizens. I graduated from Webster University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. During my studies, I completed courses in Middle School, Secondary Education, and Practicum at University City High School. Worked as an assistant Math at University City Academic Summer Camp in 2012 and 2103. I also, started my own tutoring company in 2014. I have successfully tutored 5 students and currently tutoring a fifth grader on Monday nights.
